What Is Emergency Withdraw on PinkSale? The 10% Exit

PinkSale's Emergency Withdraw returns 90% of a contribution to a live sale and forfeits the tokens. The terms, set beside DxSale's, read from both docs.

Emergency Withdraw on PinkSale is a button that pulls a contribution out of a Presale, Fairlaunch or Subscription pool while the sale is still live. PinkSale’s documentation sets the price: a 10% penalty on the amount contributed, so 90% comes back; the button closes 15 minutes before the timer ends; and the claim to the project’s tokens is forfeited.

This is an evergreen explainer. This desk read PinkSale’s Emergency Withdraw and failed-sale withdrawal pages, and DxSale’s emergency-withdrawal page, on 23 September 2026; they describe default behaviour, not any individual pool’s contract.

How does emergency withdraw on PinkSale work?

The PinkSale Emergency Withdraw page gives the steps: return to the pool with the wallet that contributed, press the button, accept a warning about the 10% penalty, then confirm in the wallet, MetaMask being its example, which shows the network gas fee. The exit costs the penalty plus gas.

If the hard cap is reached early, the button stays usable until the original timer would have expired, less the final 15 minutes. PinkSale’s own reason for the cutoff is hedged: the rule likely prevents manipulation or instability near the end.

Neither that page nor PinkSale’s service-fees page, which lists creator-side charges, says where the 10% goes, and we do not guess.

The DxSale page justifies its fee as a guard against abuse and last-minute withdrawals, and advises waiting for the timer to end if a sale looks like failing, because a failed sale can be withdrawn from without any fees. Its footer reads “Last updated 3 years ago”, so the 10-minute figure is DxSale’s documented term, not a reading of any current contract.

The failed-sale withdrawal page adds that a sale which met its soft cap allows no withdrawal at all. The failed-sale branch is set out in our reading of the soft-cap terms.

FAQ

What is the fee for emergency withdraw on PinkSale? PinkSale’s documentation states a penalty of 10% of the amount originally contributed, so the contributor receives 90% back. The wallet confirmation also shows a network gas fee, which is paid on top. Neither the Emergency Withdraw page nor the service-fees page we read says who receives the 10%.

Can I use emergency withdraw after the presale ends? No. PinkSale’s page says the button works only until 15 minutes before the timer ends. After a successful sale, one that met its soft cap, there is no withdrawal and contributors wait to claim tokens. After a failed sale, the penalty-free Withdrawal contribution button is the route instead.

Do I still get tokens if I use emergency withdraw? No. PinkSale’s documentation says Emergency Withdraw removes the whole contribution, less the penalty, from the pool, and the contributor forfeits any claim to that sale’s tokens. It is an exit, not a partial reduction, so there is nothing left in the pool to claim against once it goes through.

Can I withdraw from a PinkSale presale if the soft cap is not reached? Yes, once the sale has ended below its soft cap or the pool has been cancelled. PinkSale’s failed-sale page says the Withdrawal contribution button carries no penalty, needs no approval from the project owner and costs only gas, and that its contracts generally allow such withdrawals indefinitely.

Where this fits

Which launchpads publish refund terms at all is the wider question, and what happens to unsold tokens is the other end of the same sale. We cover this market; we do not participate in it. Crypto assets are high risk, nothing here is financial advice, and a 10% exit fee is best read before a contribution, not after.
